Three things are driving today's rally — foreign inflows, a softer dollar, and strong bank earnings. Here's the 60-second version.

1. Foreign money is coming back in

FIIs have been net buyers for five straight sessions after months of selling, as global rate-cut bets improve the appeal of emerging markets.

2. The dollar is weaker

A softer dollar index makes it cheaper for foreign funds to buy Indian assets, and typically supports commodity and export-linked stocks too.

3. Bank earnings beat expectations

Private banks reported better-than-expected margins, easing concerns about asset quality that had weighed on the sector.
